My time so far

I have been with Ecosway since August, and officially joined the Ma On Shan team in September.  During my time, I have learnt many things and developed many skills such as selling, promoting a business, running the store and dealing with customers.  I have met many wonderful and helpful people from the Ecosway business and I have met many wonderful customers in Ma On Shan Centre shopping mall.  I have added a number of IBOs to my network and I have a particular expertise in dealing with expat customers and foreign domestic workers.  I am the official native English speaker in the team.  I have also spent time working in the flagship store in TsimShaTsui.  This business really does work and I am proud to be part of it.

What if I already have a job or business

You can still be a part of the Ecosway business even if you want to stay in your current occupation.  You can do this by being a consumer of our products or you can introduce others to the business.  Others may be interested in this free store concept and are looking for new opportunities.  I accept that working as a business partner in a store is not for everybody, so there are many Ecosway business partners who prospect for new partners who may be looking to change their life and seeking new challenges. 

Hexagon AA DUO water purifier

Here is a presentation on Ecosway's latest AA DUO water purifier.  It allows you to change the ph level of the water from between 3-10 and allows you add oxygen to the water.

How did I get involved with Ecosway.

First of all, a little bit more about myself.  Previous I have only worked in the IT industry in the UK, China and Hong Kong and I have 18 years experience.  This included nearly 9 years at Vodafone UK.  After leaving my last IT position, I found it difficult to get back in again due to the economic situation and my very specialist skill set. 

One day I went to the Ma On Shan Ecosway branch to buy a drink and chatted to the shop keeper, Mo.  She introduced the free store concept to me and how Ecosway are on the look out for people to join them in becoming store keepers. 

At first I was very sceptical and thought that it was a scam.  But after looking things up on line, I found that the free store was a fact, subject to conditions.  Mo followed things up with me and she introduced me to Ecosway's business presentations which I attended.  From which I met many wonderful and knowledgeable people from diverse backgrounds.  The business concept looked sound and viable to me and I decided to join the business. 

From then on I started working shifts at the Ma On Shan branch and after a few weekes I joined the branch as an official share holder.  I now work four days a week there.  My next goal is to pass the store keeper exams so that I can officially apply for my own branch.

Hexagon water filtration system 2

One of our latest products here at Ecosway is the Hexagon water filtration system 2 water purifier.  It comes from Korea and it has several functions.

E38 team

The E38 team is a group of Ecosway business owners based in Hong Kong that has partners and shopkeepers in a dozen countries.  It is led by our founder Marco and his wife TinMei, it started in 2006 and now runs more than 70 out of the 108 Hong Kong Ecosway stores.  It also runs the flagship store.  In Hong Kong and elsewhere it runs regular business presentations and product training courses and new partners who wish to become shopkeepers can gain experience in our stores.  I am in the E38 team and I have learnt alot of business skills from E38.

Hexagon 8 stage water filter

One of the most popular products as Ecosway is the Hexagon 8 stage water purifier, it removes chlorine, heavy metals and other impurities in the water and softens the water.  It also adds essential minerals and breaks down the water molecule's size so that it can be easier absorbed into the body.  It currently retails in Hong Kong for HKD $810.  Here is the video on how to install it.

How to join Ecosway

If you live in country that has Ecosway branches, you can go to your local branch to register as either a VIP shopper or IBO. 

If you country or locale does not have an Ecosway branch then you can register as either a VIP or IBO online.  Go to Ecosway website and under the select country/region drop down box, select your country or 'other' and fill in your details, you can use HK103605 as your sponsor ID.

Our offerings

At Ecosway Hong Kong we offer customers two membership choices, VIP or IBO. 

VIP costs HKD $60 per year and allows you to purchase our products at member prices. 

IBO costs HKD $250 per year and allows you to buy at member price.  You can also earn money as IBO through your own spending and by introducing other customers to Ecosway, by linking their VIP or IBO account with yours.  If you want you can become a shop keeper at one of our free rental stores after you have qualified.

Hello, my name is George and I am currently a business owner at Ecosway.  I work at the Ecosway Ma On Shan branch Ecosway Ma On Shan.  I joined the company in July 2012 after 18 years of working in IT.  I work with a wonderful who have given me much help and support, we have many loyal customers and hope to share this business opportunity with you. 

Corporate information

eCosway is a retail company based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was started in 2002 and is a subsidary of Cosway Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. which is wholly owned by Cosway Corporation Limited, a company listed in Hong Kong (stock code 0288), and a part of the Berjaya Group.

eCosway is lead by Chinese Malaysian Al Chuah. 

Currently most of its operations are in South East Asia but it is looking to expand globally.

Ecosway flagship store in Hong Kong

I spent yesterday at the Ecosway flagship store in TsimShaTsui Hong Kong, learnt many things and met many wonderful people.

How does Ecosway work

Ecosway sells a variety of household goods, cosmetics, toiletries, health suppliments and food items at its 2000 branches across 20 countries worldwide.  It uses a Prosumer concept where its customers become its business partners.  Customers buy the products, enjoy them and then pass on the message to friends, family and acquintances.  Ecosway uses this word of mouth marketing instead of media adverts.  Customers who recommend our products are then rewarded.  Those who wish to take part in this exciting retailing can then apply to become free store owners. 

Official Ecosway branches are run and staffed by business partners, not employees.  Ecosway pays the store's rent, stock, utility bills and decoration costs.  The business partners aim is to achieve the sales target everymonth.  In return the business partners are paid by the purchases made by their VIP and IBO customers, even if they shop at another Ecosway branch.
